Agribusiness Download
Agribusiness is one of the fastest-growing lines of business for many independent agencies. According to an AUGIE survey, 61.5% of agencies report that their agribusiness book is growing, while another 34.6% say it remains steady. Yet despite that growth, agribusiness lags behind other lines when it comes to policy download. Instead of receiving dedicated agribusiness policy data directly into their agency management system, many agencies still rely on commercial package downloads, carrier portals, or manual entry. The result is more administrative work, reduced visibility into coverage, and unnecessary inefficiencies.
AUGIE has made agribusiness download a major priority. The standard exists. But carriers need to provide the data, and the agency management system platforms need to capture it. AUGIE is bringing together agents, carriers, and system providers to move adoption forward. Through working groups, industry collaboration, and direct advocacy, AUGIE has helped turn a long-standing ACORD standard into a growing reality. Today, two carriers and four agency management system providers support agribusiness download.
While meaningful progress has been made, there is still more work to do. Broader adoption by additional carriers and agency management systems is essential to make agribusiness download widely available. Achieving that goal requires continued collaboration across the industry to remove barriers, align priorities, and ensure agencies can fully benefit from standardized data exchange.
